• It is rare for a buyer to cancel a job which is already in progress and buyers who repeatedly do this are banned from using hyperlingo.

  • Nevertheless, buyers, like translators, are able to cancel jobs which are in progress, even after completed documents have been submitted, and there is little we can do to stop this from happening. If the buyer cancels they lose their deposit for the job and risk having their account cancelled.

  • To avoid encountering this issue, it is a good idea to communicate with the buyer at the start of the job to make sure the buyer's requirements are clear from the start. After submitting completed work, you should look out for communication from the buyer in case there are any issues around quality or content, and work proactively with the buyer to address any concerns they may have.
