It is rare for a translator to cancel a job which is already in progress and translators who repeatedly do this are banned from using hyperlingo.

Nevertheless, translators, like buyers, are able to cancel jobs which are in progress, and there is little we can do to stop this from happening. If the translator cancels, it will negatively affect the job completion statistics displayed on their profile page, and they risk having their account cancelled.

To avoid encountering this issue, it is a good idea to check job completion statistics on the translator's profile before starting a job. It is also a good idea to communicate with the translator at the start of the job to make sure your requirements are clear from the start. If a translator cancels a job which is in progress, your deposit will be refunded in full.
